Look around you.
Look at everything around you.

Look at all the things you own.
Look at all the things you love.
Look at all the things that mean something to you.
Look at yourself.

We have a pair of eyes,
but how often do we open them?

Open your eyes,
not to just see the things in front of you,
not to just look at things on the surface,
look deep.

What do you see?

Behind everything you own,
there is a reason for it.
Something you did not want to throw out,
there must have been a reason for it.

Behind everything you love,
regardless an object or an actual human being,
there must be a reason for it.
Why love others, when you could have loved yourself more.

Behind everything that means something to you,
there must be a reason for it.
A reason that makes you want to hold on to the thought of it,
a reason for you to choose not to forget about it.

Look closer at everything.
Is there a reason?

If there is no reason,
do you still keep it around?

Are there "should"s or "should not"s?
Must here be a reason?

--------

Are there times where you open your eyes,
awake from your deep slumber,
be it a lovely dream or a frightening nightmare,
and then you look around you.

You see a familiar place,
perhaps your room,
or perhaps an unfamiliar place,
where you crashed for the night.

Think.
What is the first thing that comes to your mind?

Is that really what's most important?
Didn't you have to breathe first?

The very reason why you're still there,
physically,
being able to open your eyes,
being able to think and breathe.

You're alive.

Sometimes we forget that we're alive for a reason.
We follow routine and get through each day as if everything is scheduled.

Sometimes we know that we're alive for a reason.
We try to figure out the reason, and think too hard for it.

Sometimes the very reason we're alive,
should make us smile.

We did it.
We've stayed alive for so many years in our lives.

Do we really need to continue trying to find a purpose in life?
Do we need that to be happy?

--------

Sometimes reality seems a little crazy,
it's hectic and full of pressure; internally and externally.

Sometimes reality seems a little too good to be true,
being afraid to wake up for fear of losing it all.

Sometimes we just need to accept reality as it is,
we are who we are today because of all our choices in life.

Sometimes I just need to stop questioning reality.
Must there be a reason behind every thing in this reality?
